Velasola offers certain products on a subscription basis for your convenience, allowing you to receive your favorite products on a recurring schedule without needing to reorder. This policy explains how subscriptions work, how billing is handled, and how you can modify or cancel your subscription at any time.
This Subscription and Cancellation Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service and Refund Policy. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service shall prevail.
1. Enrollment and Auto-Renewal Disclosure
When you subscribe to a Velasola product, you are enrolling in a recurring, automatically renewing subscription. Before completing your subscription order, the following details will be clearly displayed: the product(s) included, the subscription price, the billing frequency (e.g., every 30 days, every 60 days), and the renewal terms.
By completing your subscription purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Your subscription will automatically renew at the stated frequency until you cancel. You authorize Velasola to charge your selected payment method on each renewal date for the subscription price plus applicable taxes and shipping fees (if any). You may cancel your subscription at any time before your next billing date to avoid future charges. Cancellation instructions are provided in Section 5 of this policy.
This auto-renewal disclosure is provided in compliance with applicable consumer protection laws, including the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on negative option marketing, the California Automatic Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17600 et seq.), and equivalent Canadian provincial consumer protection legislation.
2. Subscription Pricing
Subscription pricing may differ from one-time purchase pricing. The subscription price in effect at the time you enroll is the price you will be charged on each renewal date, unless we notify you of a price change.
Price changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing at any time. If we increase the price of your subscription, we will notify you via email at least 14 days before the price change takes effect. You may cancel your subscription before the next billing date if you do not agree to the new price. If you do not cancel before the next billing date after being notified of a price change, your continued subscription constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Promotional or introductory subscription pricing is valid for the period stated at the time of enrollment. After the promotional period ends, your subscription will automatically renew at the standard subscription price unless you cancel before the next billing date. The standard price will be disclosed at the time you enroll.
3. Billing and Payment
By enrolling in a subscription, you authorize Velasola to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis at the frequency you selected. Subscription charges include the product cost, applicable taxes, and shipping fees (if any).
Your payment information is stored securely by our third-party payment processor and subscription management provider in accordance with applicable Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Velasola does not directly store your full credit card or financial account information on our servers.
Failed payments: If a scheduled payment fails (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds, declined transaction), we will attempt to retry the charge up to two (2) additional times over the following 5 business days. You will be notified via email of the failed payment and asked to update your payment information. If payment cannot be collected after all retry attempts, your subscription may be paused or suspended until valid payment information is provided. We are not responsible for any interruption in product delivery resulting from a failed payment.
Updating payment information: You may update your payment method at any time by logging into your account dashboard or contacting us at support@velasola.com. It is your responsibility to ensure your payment information is current and accurate.
4. Renewals
Subscriptions automatically renew at the stated frequency (e.g., every 30 days) until cancelled. You will be charged on each renewal date unless you cancel in advance.
We will send a renewal reminder via email before your billing date. The timing of these reminders may vary depending on your location and applicable law. For customers in the European Union and United Kingdom, we will send a renewal reminder at least 7 days before the billing date. Failure to receive a reminder email does not extend your cancellation deadline or entitle you to a refund for a processed renewal.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason, with no cancellation fees or penalties.
Cancellation deadline: To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the next scheduled billing date. Cancellation requests received less than 48 hours before the billing date may not be processed in time to prevent the next charge.
How to cancel:
You can cancel your subscription by logging into your customer account on our website and managing your subscription settings, or by contacting us at support@velasola.com with your name, order number, and request to cancel.
Cancellation confirmation: Once your cancellation is processed, you will receive a confirmation email. Please retain this email as proof of cancellation. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 2 business days, please contact us to verify that your cancellation was processed.
Effect of cancellation: Once cancelled, you will not be charged again. Your subscription will remain active through the end of your current billing period, and any orders already processed or shipped will not be affected. You will continue to receive any shipments that were processed before your cancellation took effect. Cancelled subscriptions do not entitle you to a prorated refund for the remaining portion of a billing cycle.
6. Pausing and Skipping
If you don’t want to cancel entirely, you have the option to pause your subscription or skip upcoming shipments:
Pause: You may pause your subscription for a specified period (e.g., 30, 60, or 90 days) through your account dashboard or by contacting us. While paused, you will not be charged and no shipments will be sent. Your subscription will automatically resume at the end of the pause period unless you cancel or extend the pause.
Skip: You may skip your next scheduled shipment without cancelling your subscription. Your billing date will be pushed to the following cycle. You can skip shipments through your account dashboard or by contacting us at least 48 hours before your next billing date.
7. Modifications
You may update your subscription details at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting us at support@velasola.com. Available modifications include:
Changing your delivery frequency (e.g., from every 30 days to every 60 days). Swapping products within your subscription (subject to product availability). Updating your shipping address. Updating your payment method. Adjusting product quantities.
Modifications must be made before your next billing date to take effect for the upcoming cycle. Changes requested after your billing date will apply to the following cycle.
8. Reactivation
If you have previously cancelled your subscription and wish to restart it, you may do so at any time by logging into your account dashboard and reactivating your subscription, placing a new subscription order through our website, or contacting us at support@velasola.com.
Reactivated subscriptions will be billed at the current subscription price, which may differ from the price at which your original subscription was enrolled. Promotional or introductory pricing from your original enrollment will not carry over to reactivated subscriptions unless otherwise stated.
9. Returns and Refunds for Subscription Orders
Subscription orders are subject to the same return and refund conditions as one-time purchases under our Refund Policy, with the following additional terms:
Money-Back Guarantee: Our Money-Back Guarantee, as described in our Refund Policy, applies only to your first subscription order. Subsequent recurring shipments are not eligible for the Money-Back Guarantee and are subject to our standard return policy.
Shipped orders: Subscription charges for orders that have already been processed and shipped are not refundable solely on the basis of a cancellation request. If you wish to return a shipped subscription order, you must follow the return process outlined in our Refund Policy.
Billing errors: If you believe you were charged in error (e.g., charged after cancellation, duplicate charge), please contact us at support@velasola.com with your order details and we will investigate and correct any billing errors promptly.
10. European Union and United Kingdom — Additional Rights
If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of your initial enrollment without providing a reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
To exercise this right, contact us at support@velasola.com within 14 days of your first subscription order. If your first shipment has already been dispatched, you may still cancel the subscription going forward and return the shipped product in accordance with our Refund Policy.
For subsequent renewal shipments, you may cancel your subscription at any time in accordance with Section 5 of this policy.
11. Disputes
If you have a concern about your subscription billing or believe you were charged incorrectly, please contact us at support@velasola.com before filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank. We are committed to resolving all billing concerns promptly and fairly.
Any disputes that cannot be resolved through our customer support process are subject to the dispute resolution and arbitration provisions set forth in our Terms of Service.
12. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Subscription and Cancellation Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the updated effective date above. Material changes to subscription terms (such as pricing, billing frequency, or cancellation procedures) will be communicated to active subscribers via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Changes to this policy will not apply retroactively to orders already processed.
