How We Use Your Personal Information
Depending on how you interact with us or which of the Services you use, we may use personal information for the following purposes:
Provide, Tailor, and Improve the Services. We use your personal information to provide you with the Services, including to perform our contract with you, to process your payments, to fulfill your orders, to remember your preferences and items you are interested in, to send notifications to you related to your account, to process purchases, returns, exchanges or other transactions, to create, maintain and otherwise manage your account, to arrange for shipping, to facilitate any returns and exchanges, to enable you to post reviews, and to create a customized shopping experience for you, such as recommending products related to your purchases. This may include using your personal information to better tailor and improve the Services. If you are an EEA resident, the legal basis for these data processing activities is the performance of our contract with you, according to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Marketing and Advertising. We use your personal information for marketing and promotional purposes, such as to send marketing, advertising and promotional communications by email, text message or postal mail, and to show you online advertisements for products or services on the Services or other websites, including based on items you previously have purchased or added to your cart and other activity on the Services. If you are an EEA resident, the legal basis for these data processing activities is our legitimate interest in selling our products, according to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Security and Fraud Prevention. We use your personal information to authenticate your account, to provide a secure payment and shopping experience, detect, investigate or take action regarding possible fraudulent, illegal, unsafe, or malicious activity, protect public safety, and to secure our services. If you choose to use the Services and register an account, you are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. We highly recommend that you do not share your username, password or other access details with anyone else. If you are an EEA resident, the legal basis for these data processing activities is our legitimate interest in keeping our website secure for you and other customers, according to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Communicating with You. We use your personal information to provide you with customer support, to be responsive to you, to provide effective services to you and to maintain our business relationship with you. If you are an EEA resident, the legal basis for these data processing activities is our legitimate interest in being responsive and maintaining our business relationship with you, according to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Legal Reasons. We use your personal information to comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal process, including requests from law enforcement or government agencies, to investigate or participate in civil discovery, potential or actual litigation, or other adversarial legal proceedings, and to enforce or investigate potential violations of our terms or policies.
Cookies
Like many websites, we use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (“Cookies”) on our Site. For specific information about the Cookies that we use related to powering our store with Shopify, see https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies. We use Cookies to power and improve our Site and our Services (including to remember your actions and preferences), to run analytics and better understand user interaction with the Services (in our legitimate interests to administer, improve and optimize the Services). We may also permit third parties and service providers to use Cookies on our Site to better tailor the services, products and advertising on our Site and other websites.
Most browsers automatically accept Cookies by default, but you can choose to set your browser to remove or reject Cookies through your browser controls. Please keep in mind that removing or blocking Cookies can negatively impact your user experience and may cause some of the Services, including certain features and general functionality, to work incorrectly or no longer be available. Additionally, blocking Cookies may not completely prevent how we share information with third parties such as our advertising partners.
Advertising and Analytics Partners
We work with third-party advertising and analytics providers to help us understand how our Services are used, to serve advertisements on our behalf across the internet, and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. These partners may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites and services using Cookies, pixels, software development kits, and similar technologies.
Our current advertising and analytics partners include, but are not limited to: Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram), including through the Meta Pixel and Conversions API; and Google LLC, including Google Analytics and Google Ads. These partners may use the information they collect to provide you with targeted advertisements based on your browsing activity and interests. Their use of your information is governed by their own respective privacy policies.
You may opt out of interest-based advertising from many providers through the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info/choices or the Network Advertising Initiative at www.networkadvertising.org/choices. Please note that opting out does not prevent you from seeing advertisements; it means the advertisements you see may be less relevant to you.
SMS and Text Message Communications
If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to receive text messages from us, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing and transactional text messages (including cart reminders, order confirmations, shipping updates, and promotional offers) at the phone number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us or by contacting us at the details provided below. After opting out, you may receive a single confirmation message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@velasola.com. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
By opting in, you acknowledge and agree that: (a) your consent is being provided to Velasola and not to any third party; (b) the provision of your phone number and consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services; and (c) you are the authorized user of the mobile device and phone number provided and are authorized to give consent.
Sensitive Personal Information
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information without your consent or for the purposes of inferring characteristics about you.
Health and Wellness Data
Velasola sells dietary supplement and wellness products. While your purchase history with us may include health and wellness-related products, we do not use your purchase history or browsing activity to infer, derive, or create any profile regarding your health status, medical conditions, diagnoses, or treatments. We do not classify any personal information we collect as “health data,” “consumer health data,” or any similar protected category under applicable laws, including but not limited to the Washington My Health My Data Act, as we do not collect information that is linked or reasonably linkable to a consumer and that identifies the consumer’s past, present, or future physical or mental health status beyond what is strictly necessary to process and fulfill product orders.
We do not sell, share, or otherwise disclose purchase history or browsing data to third parties for the purpose of identifying, targeting, or profiling individuals based on actual or perceived health conditions or interests. Any data collected in connection with your transactions is used solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including order fulfillment, customer service, and general marketing of our products.
Subscription and Recurring Billing
If you elect to subscribe to any of our products through a subscription plan, your payment information will be stored securely by our third-party payment processor and subscription management provider in accordance with applicable Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). We do not directly store your full credit card number, debit card number, or financial account information on our servers.
By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the frequency and amount disclosed at the time of purchase until you cancel. You may modify, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account, contacting us at support@velasola.com, or following the instructions provided in your subscription confirmation email. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and no further charges will be applied. We are not responsible for charges that have already been processed prior to the effective date of cancellation.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control Signals
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) feature that sends a signal to the websites you visit indicating that you do not wish to be tracked. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how companies should respond to DNT signals, and we do not currently respond to DNT signals. However, if you visit our Site with the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) opt-out preference signal enabled, we will treat this as a valid request to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for the device and browser you use to visit the Site, to the extent required by applicable law.
